Ashcrafts Rank Structure

All traditional Martial Arts Styles employ a system of rank. Rank is a way of displaying the progress of each student of the Martial Arts. In the United States most believe the the ultimate goal is to obtain a black belt. In traditional Martial Arts training there are 10 degrees of Black Belt. The highest rank obtainable is 10th dan, Grand Master. Below is the rank system used by Ashcrafts.

The first colored belt a student earns is the Gold belt. A gold belt signifies the begining of a students journey.
The orange belt is the second belt earned in Ashcrafts Tae Kwon Do.
The Green belt symbolizes the growth achieved by the student and marks the transition to intermediate student ranks.
The Purple belt is the first rank that the Intermediate student attains.
The Blue belt is the half way point on the path to Black belt status.
The Red belt is marks the transition to the advanced ranks. The color of blood the red belt serves as a warning to those who challenge.
The Brown belt has three degrees of rank. The 3rd degree Brown Belt test is the first to incorporate physical fitness and sparring into the test.
The 2nd degree Brown Belt marks the mid-point in the Brown Belt Training for advanced students. This is a time of refinement for the student.
The 1st degree Brown Belt begins the serious training for the Black Belt Test ahead!
The Black Belt marks the end of one journey and the start of another. Traditional Martial Arts wisdom states that with a Black Belt a student is truely ready to begin training!
